Job Opportunity: Richmond County Democratic Committee seeks Executive Director

The Richmond County Democratic Committee is an official party organization that nominates people to run for elected positions for federal, state, municipal, judicial, and party positions.  The Committee Affords those nominees ballot access through the petitioning process and assists their campaigns by providing visibility, interns, media and event planning support, and get out the vote operations.  The Committee is searching for a new executive director.

The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated individual able to assist the party chair in her duties as the county leader and state Democratic Party officer and run the day-to-day operation of the office (located at 705 Forest Avenue, 2nd floor).

Experience in social media, fundraising, event planning and/or campaign work is a plus, as is bi- or multi- lingual ability. 

This is a full-time position with a starting salary in the $40-45,000 range.   

Alternative working arrangements such as flexible hours, part-time, and work-from-home arrangements must be worked out with the Chair.  Please note there will be additional in-office and time commitments during the nominating convention (usually February) and petitioning (usually March/April).
